What You Will Do:
E&I has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President, Sales Strategy & Operations. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end business process for driving revenue across the E&I Go To Market (GTM) teams that creates transparency and accountability, improves efficiency and rigor, creates data-driven collaboration, drives revenue predictability, and achieves revenue growth. Your focus will be on designing and enabling Sales strategy, process, systems, tools and reporting. You will coordinate closely with the SVP Member Engagement, SVP Marketing, and member of the IT/Operations team (Process Analyst and Sr. Data Analyst).
How You Will Do It:
- Drive operational sales performance metrics and data analytics as the one source of truth for data, reporting and insights for the Member Engagement (ME) organization
- Ensure continuous improvement in systems, tools, and processes, and effective visibility into business performance by designing and maintaining sales performance business intelligence (data analytics tools, dashboards and reporting) for both front-line sales professionals and management, while identifying risks and mitigation plans
- Lead annual planning process across GTM teams for business modeling, target setting and management, territory/key account planning, and sales compensation/incentive design, providing timely reporting of progress and ensuring smooth execution of the plans throughout the fiscal year
- Collaborate with SVP ME on ensuring optimal organizational design of ME team, to support achievement of objectives and alignment with organizational goals
- Collaborate with SVP, ME & ME Sales Leaders to support revenue growth strategy and achieve targets, optimizing processes and technologies for alignment.
- Nurture cross-functional partnerships across the GTM organization to support customer success and drive customer retention & growth, also providing leadership to ensure proper analysis of customer health metrics and proactively mitigate customer retention risk
- Partner with the E&I Leadership Team to identify strategic priorities and opportunities for growth, overseeing objectives and key results, and ensuring focus is on highest-impact initiatives
- Partner with the Marketing team on driving continuity across marketing process and activity, and pipeline throughput
- Partner with the IT team on sales and marketing process and system design/implementation, as well as on business intelligence and data analytics to drive actionable insights, system usage and productivity
- Build strong working relationships with key leaders to influence goals and priorities of stakeholders
- Champion continuous process improvement to enable execution of strategic priorities for the E&I business; balancing the need for speed and action with a data-driven, sufficiently rigorous approach
- Participate in additional tasks and projects as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, operations, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business operations role including experience in crafting strategic vision, making data-driven business decisions, identifying gaps or business needs, and innovating and scaling solutions with blend of sales acumen and a strong customer-centric mentality
- Strong experience and skills developing, leading, and managing KPIs, operations, reporting and technologies, including expertise with Salesforce and designing sales incentive programs
- Success driving revenue growth and customer retention through strategic and operational excellence
- A pragmatic, commercial mind-set, and a willingness to have a hands-on, sleeves rolled up approach to working with a geographically dispersed go-to-market organization
- Strong change management skills
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships, influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills to interact with all levels of an organization
- Strong operations and financial acumen, analytical and detail oriented
- Ability to travel about 15% to meet with leadership and go-to-market teams
